The Biggest News Story to Miss the Front Page

There's a story bubbling under the surface that has the potential to be bigger than the War in Iraq and bigger than Global Warming ... but it's not getting much attention. Bees are disappearing at an alarming rate.

Forget about killer bees, because the phenomenon seems to be going in reverse. According to a recent research study at Landau University, bees appear to have an adverse reaction to cell phones wherein they refuse to return to their hives if there is cell phone radiation nearby. If the colonies don't reconvene after a day out pollinating and ruining backyard barbecues, they start to die off from lack of resources being brought back to the hive. This is referred to as Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD).

Whole economies and the entire food chain is dependent on pollination. If pollination stops, everything stops. Bees are responsible for a significant percentage of all pollination on the planet.

The alarm was first sounded last autumn, but has now hit half of all American states. The West Coast is thought to have lost 60 per cent of its commercial bee population, with 70 per cent missing on the East Coast.
The consequences are quite huge. I would think there might be a little more noise about this phenomena. It appears we're on the verge of frivolously talking ourselves to death.

Call someone and tell them to get off their damned cell phone!
